Privacy Policy — LITAU Toll Bot

This page describes the data practices of LITAU Toll Bot — an internal automation tool built for LITAU Rent a Car (car rental operated by Sergey Litau in Chile), not a tourist-facing service.

1. What this application is

LITAU Toll Bot (Google Cloud project litau-tollbot) is a private, single-user automation script operated by Sergey Litau for LITAU Rent a Car. It reads toll-road invoice emails delivered to one dedicated mailbox, litau23@gmail.com, extracts the invoice amounts (PDF attachments from Chilean toll-road concessionaires such as Costanera Norte, Vespucio Norte, Autopase, Vespucio Sur), and compiles a monthly toll report for the four rental cars operated by LITAU Rent a Car.

This is not a public product. It is not installed by, or offered to, any third party — only the developer/owner uses it, on their own computer.

2. Data the application accesses

  • Emails and PDF attachments in the mailbox litau23@gmail.com that contain toll-road invoices — sender, subject, date, and invoice PDF content (toll amounts, dates, license plates).
  • No other Gmail data is read. The mailbox is used exclusively for toll-road billing correspondence.

3. Google API scopes requested

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly — to read toll invoice emails and their PDF attachments in litau23@gmail.com.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send — used only to send the compiled monthly toll report (as an email attachment) to the owner's own address. It is never used to send email on behalf of, or to, anyone else.

4. How the data is stored and used

  • Extracted invoice data (amounts, dates, toll road, license plate) is stored locally in a SQLite database on the owner's own computer. It is not uploaded to any cloud service or third-party server.
  • Data is used only to compile an internal monthly accounting report of toll charges per rental car, so the owner can reconcile toll costs for LITAU Rent a Car.
  • Data is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party, and is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to toll-road accounting.
  • The application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data retention and deletion

Data is kept locally for as long as needed for monthly accounting reconciliation. The owner can delete the local database or revoke access at any time (see section 6). No backup copies are stored outside the owner's own computer.

6. How to revoke access

The Gmail account owner can revoke this application's access at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions.

LITAU Toll Bot — внутренний скрипт для учёта платных дорог парка машин LITAU Rent a Car (прокат Сергея Летау в Чили), не туристический сервис и не публичный продукт. Он читает письма и PDF-счета платных дорог в ящике litau23@gmail.com (scope gmail.readonly) и раз в месяц отправляет владельцу готовый отчёт на его же почту (scope gmail.send — только для этого, никому больше).
